Aeronautical Information Circulars (AIC)

Aeronautical Information Circulars (AICs) are informational notices issued by national aviation authorities to communicate important but non-urgent information relevant to aviation personnel and organizations. Unlike NOTAMs, which cover temporary and time-critical updates, AICs focus on advisory material that doesn’t directly affect flight operations.

Typically, AICs cover topics such as administrative updates, safety recommendations, regulatory changes, technical advice, and educational material. They help aviation stakeholders stay informed on best practices, procedural guidelines, or changes to aviation policies. AICs are thus an important resource for maintaining awareness of the broader aviation landscape without impacting immediate operational requirements.
